UECCC is piloting a Biogas Financing Programme for domestic biogas systems with EBO SACCO Limited. The Facility is aimed at addressing the affordability barrier associated with the upfront costs of acquiring domestic biogas systems for cooking and lighting.
UECCC has also installed 26 Demonstration Domestic Biogas systems to serve as learning centers for rural households in order to appreciate the benefits of using domestic biogas system. The districts so far covered include: Ibanda, Kiruhura, Kazo, Nakaseke, Jinja, Buikwe, Soroti, Bulambuli, Masaka, Lwengo, Mbarara, Kasese and Bunyangabu.
